i ride brakeless,i didnt at first. I also think it makes me a more cautious rider.the only thing i would say is if someone wants to ride brakeless ,spend alot of time working on your skids...it was hard on my knees at first.i do understand someone w…
I use a larger gear ratio. So I use a front brake.. Also it helps evoke a skid by getting weight off the rear wheel. I use brakeless on my shorter ratio bike as it is very easy to skid.
No brakes, I'm riding a track bike, if I want to cruise and not have to check my speed before intersections and plan out every move I'm going to make while riding, then I'll ride a beach cruiser, but until then I'm riding a track bike.
I recently interviewed Joe at Brooklyn Machine Works and I think he said it best"it's better to have one [brake] and not need it than to need it and not have one"
I ride with front brake....really only use it (aswell as my legs) when I'm riding within the CBD ....once out in the burbs I really only use my legs to brake.......way too dangerous running no brakes and Ive been riding for years
start by returning it and buying the grape soda purple frame! swap stem for threaded, get nitto b123's, all city double straps and cages, nice set of white deep v's and you're done.
I am looked for a colored chain (preferably white) that will hold up well. I also saw some picture of bikes with motorcycle chains on them, has anyone tried this? if you have, how does it work out?
I'm looking for a decent colored chain (preferably white). does anyone have any links they could post for one. I saw posts with a girl who used a motorcycle chain, has anyone tried this out?
