so my bike has little pedals with cages on them, i dont mind them, their very nice, and i can skid very well with them but i wanted to know if anyone could suggest another type of pedal that might be better than what i have, some that dont have cages.. i kinda want to get some of these

i tried cages and fell off my bike trying to get into em hahaha...im a former bmx/freestyler so that shit is crazy to me..the peddles are so small...i also tried clip ins when i got my first road bike...fell off the bike in the middle of a busy street trying to get unclipped..whole bike came down with me and i was laying there still clipped in hahaha..people were laughing...fuckin humiliated so i said never again.......now Ive been riding alot alot and i understand the importance of building momentum while coming up in a peddle and not just down...plus Ive noticed when i tried for a second with the cages skidding was way easier cuz you don't get thrown from the bike...still i hate the tiny peddles...those wigs straps might be the best bet but I'm gonna try and custom build a large cage to fit on a bmx peddle so it will help you peddle faster and skid better but will be uber easy to jump out of
good luck figuring this out...ill let everyone know if my invention wurx

I prefer the classic cage. Im using some cheap ass $8.00 plastic cages just so I don't have to deal with them getting bent or anything. Some of my friends have started using power straps. They like them and their relatively inexpensive. I would personally recommend buying the power straps by them selfs. The pedals in the pedal/strap combo arnt the greatest thing ever.

after testing my speed against my dads car, we figured out my bicycle computer is spitting out speeds 5km/h slower than I'm really going, so my speed was actually 62km/h :D
